Dr. Mag. Tobias Boos, BA is an Assistant Professor (non-tenured) at the University of Vienna (Department of Political Science). Previously, he was a research fellow at various universities and research institutes in the EU (Complutense University Madrid) and non-EU countries (King's College London; University College London; CALAS Buenos Aires; FLACSO Quito; Center for Social Science Research Buenos Aires). His research focuses on the political economy of development models in the context of the global rise of populism and the relationship between social structure and political identities. In recent years, he has explored these subjects in the field of digital finance.

Juan Grigera
Juan Grigera
Dr. Juan Grigera is a Senior Lecturer at King's College London (Department of International Development). Previously, he was a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow at University College London and has been a research fellow and visiting researcher at various universities, including the University of Vienna, Johns Hopkins University, Universidad de Campinas, and the University of São Paulo, among others. His research focuses on the political economy of technology, specifically how technology relates to structural change and economic development, and how it is impacted and constrained by global markets and social conflict. Recently, his focus has been on artificial intelligence and blockchain.
Lina Schmid
Lina Schmid is a political scientist graduated from the University of Vienna. She works as a pre-doctoral researcher within the BITELSA project. Her research interests are oriented towards questions of political economy and political theory, including social movements.

Ia Eradze
Ia Eradze
Dr. Ia Eradze is an associate professor at the Georgian Institute for Public Affairs and a researcher at Ilia State University. She holds a PhD in social and economic sciences (Dr. rer. pol) from the University of Kassel and has worked on a postdoctoral project initiated by ZZF Potsdam. She has been a visiting scholar at Harvard, the University of Vienna, Trinity College, and Sciences Po. Ia is a political economist with interests in dollarization, financialization of monetary policy, central bank-government relations, as well as cryptocurrency mining and state formation in the post-socialist space.

David Caicedo Sarralde
David is an economist and political scientist graduated from the Pontifical Javeriana University of Bogota, Colombia, with an MSc in Politics, Economics, and Philosophy from the University of Hamburg. He is passionate about alternative development based on indigenous epistemologies and applied interdisciplinary research. His research interests include the political economy of the coffee value chain and political movements in Latin America. He worked within the BITELSA project under the leadership of Univ.-Ass. Tobias Boos as a pre-doctoral researcher.
